Ca' San Trovaso - Venice

Clean and good location.

Breakfast was not nice, staff not very welcoming. No amenities at all in the room or elsewhere. Would have been nice if there was a tea maker in the room and wifi. All you get is a clean room with a bed and bathroom. Don't expect anything other than that.

It was fairly close to San M. square but at a calm location.

Got the same breakfest every day.

The room was very nice, though I don't know what's the deal about the "double" bed being two twin beds joined together, it's really uncomfortable. Also, the breakfast was nice, delivered to the room at the time specified. The location is ok.

The bed, and that the hotel was a little hidden, there should be a sign. The stop for the water taxi is at Accademia, one stop before San Marcos. After that is 5 min walking. To walk to San Marco is a good 15 min, so don't expect it to be part of the room view.

Located in a short distance from Academia (we took vaporetto # 1 from railway station to Academia) /close to Chiesa di San Barnaba/ and even shorter from the other coast, some rooms overlook the canal with gondola traffic - quite nice. Breakfast served in the room was good, perhaps a little too sweet - typical italien with good coffee. Short walk to everything. Many places to eat in the neiborhood, we liked Pizzeria Al Casin Dei Nobili. All in all - a good place to explore Venice from.

The location felt as if real people lived in surrounding houses, vs. Being totally amongst tourists. The dorsoduro is easy to traverse giving access to the zattere and to the grand canal.

I would have liked to have paid with the convenience of a credit card.

The hotel did not stick to the check in time specified on the website. They havent provided the room at about 8 am even though they were intimated well in advance

Very nice and small hotel (6 rooms). Some rooms with aircondition. Very close to vaporetto station zattere. Clean rooms, very friendly staff.

Breakfast only on the room - please don't order coffee!

location is good. you can easily reach the hotel by ferries. rooms are lighted by big old style windows.

expensive as it serves. staffs can not be reached from night to morning.

Tasty and filling continental breakfast brought to our room at the appointed time; 400 year old building with lots of character (in a good way!); spotlessly clean; great shower; quiet air-conditioning unit; wonderful church bells to wake up to; considerate and helpful staff; right in the midst of a quiet Venetian neighborhood, convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. We'll recommend this place in a minute and won't hesitate to use it on our next visit. Bellisimo!

The location was excellent yet in a quiet area - easy to get to "the main scene" yet without being subjected to the noise which accompanies popular areas. The room was beautifully furnished and the air conditioner a wonderful extra

The location, it was calm. The breakfast was ok, as some of the staff.

When we arrived there was no one at the hotel, the door was closed with a hanging note that if it was an emergency we needed to call a number. We had no international phone so we had to discover where to find a public phone, and how to use it, we needed coins etc. 30 minutes later, finally, a guy came... And in the end of our stay we had to pay by cash, even tough in Booked.net there was nothing about it.This is only a part time hotel, if you need anybody from 12am on, forget it, there is no one. Because of that, I dont thing the price is fair.

The hotel is ideally located for any travelers getting on a cruise. The port is less than a 5 minute walk for most large cruise ships. It is also outside of the busy city center but as everything in the city is within walking distance the location is great. Breakfast was good. Make sure you let the front desk know your estimated arrival time at the hotel because it is really a family run bnb and there is no 24 hour desk staff.

The hotel is a little hard to find. The entrance is in a little alley where the street name is Ca'San Trovaso.

Very good, central location (not too far from the Galleria dell' Academia), yet quiet and private.

It was relatively cheap, quiet and well-located for the vaparetto at Zattere, which means you can avoid the crowds at San Marco. The staff are rarely there, so we had to leave cash in the room, as the machine was "broken". The breakfast is horrible and you don't have access to the roof terrace, but for one night in Venice it was fine. Don't try to walk from the station, you'll get lost. Zattere is a much better bet.
